GRILLED KING PRAWN SKEWERS

Everyone loves  party. There is something about getting together with your friends that really helps you to balance work and family. Deciding what you will serve your guests can be confusing. And with more variety comes more temptation. Many of us like sea fish, specially prawn. 

When cooking King prawns comes in our mind, usually different version of presenting this item to guests in a party does not click. Turn the cute factor up a notch for party with this irresistible grilled king prawn skewers. 


Ingredients:

(i) 500 gm raw king prawns

(ii) 2 eggs

(iii)1/2 cup  cream

(iv) 2 green chilies (minced)

(v)  1 tea spoon  red chili  powder

(vi) 1 onion (minced)

(v)  2 table spoons  lemon juice

(vi) 3 table spoons plain flour

(vii) Salt to taste

(viii) 1 pack wooden skewers

(ix)   1  tablespoon Olive oil


Method:

Defrost the prawns thoroughly in the fridge overnight and dry on kitchen paper.  Soak skewers in water for half an hour. Make a marinade- in another bowl, combine eggs, cream, minced green chilies, red chili  powder, minced onion, lemon juice, plain flour, salt to taste and olive oil.

Spoon the marinade over the prawns and mix in coating each prawn well. Cover and leave to marinate for 1 - 2 hours, stirring once or twice.

Heat a grill or barbecue to high. Thread the prawns onto the skewers and cook, turning once and basting with the marinade, for 4 - 5 minutes or until pink all the  way through.


Serve with Honey & Chili  sauce
