This poached pears is a mix of great tastes and textures. Here is one dessert , baked pears drizzled with honey and fresh cream that your family and guests will love that's easy to make, tastes oh-so decadent, but is a great source of fiber and protein. For dessert, enjoy pears on their own or alongside yogurt or cream, mascarpone cheese or a scoop of ice-cream. Or try them in one of these dishes.
All you need these ingredients mentioned below for your poached pears:
2 firm pears
2 tablespoon honey
1/2 cup apple juice
1 cup boiling water
1/2 lemon
1 cinamon sticks
4 tablespoons maple syrup
2 teaspoons vanilla essence
1/2 cup heavy cream
Directions:
Take a shallow dish and place a parchment paper. Peel the pears and place over placement paper and pour hot water and apple juice over pears, drizzle with maple syrups and honey. Close each pears with parchment paper and tie it with cooking thread and bake about 40 minutes.
While pears are baking , in a small saucepan , pour the leftover liquid , add 1 cinnamon sticks, lemon and reduce over medium heat until 1/4 cup of syrup remains, set aside to cool.
In a separate bowl, mix cream with vanilla essence.
Open the wrap of pears and place in a plate and drizzle with syrup you set aside and serve with vanilla mixed cream.

Note: If you use canned pears instead of fresh pears, drain but reserve 1/2 cup of juice and omit apple juice. Pears are very similar to Apples so if there is a recipe that calls for pears and you dont't have them, you can use apples instead.
