Review of Shanghai Salsa Restaturant
Firstly, let me thank Stoic Marketing Solutions for invited me to sneak peek the menu of Shanghai Salsa's foodies meet. And the best part was, it was on evening.
It has been two years, heard about Shanghai Salsa known in Guwahati for its unique menu and its atmosphere is laid back and casual, perfect for a casual date or catching up with old friends. A hide out in the heart of the city, where you can enjoy food, drink and live music.
As I walked in, I couldn't but notice the smart and bright interiors, wooden walls with photo frames, tables were adorned with traditional designs of Nagaland , this fuses the trendiness of vintage style with the appeal of contemporary flamboyancy, all indicative of the modern young crowd. Waiters were dressed up like a cow boy. Live music for the music lovers. The team of Shanghai Salsa is now all geared up to revamp it's menu and introduce unique dishes and at surprisingly affordable prices too that the city has been awaited.
Their menu for Foodies Meet was quite impressive.
We started with a drink , Cosmopolitan a cocktail pitcher.
The appetizers served were Chicken Quesadilla and Chicken Dim Sums.
When they say it's a Chicken Quesadilla, they actually mean business, stuffed with chicken and butter served with tomato salsa and hung yogurt. There was no or very minimal use of cheese, one of the main ingredient of classic quesadilla. I would have loved to see cheese instead of butter.
After quesadilla, we had Chicken Dim sums clearly the show stealer of the evening. Being an ardent dim sum lover, I instantly fell in love with this one, which is not wrap with flour, succulent minced meat with fresh herbs perfect starter for weight watchers and this will definitely make you come back again.
Then it was Red kidney bean soup...OMG, This was absolute yum.
They served their signature platter, named as Shanghai Salsa signature Grill platter, combo of chicken, rice, sauted veggies and beans, deep fried potatoes served with Harissa, this was a bit chewy. I could eat just a bite of it.
The Classic sweet ending was a heaven for drink lovers in the city , Mud Cake with Ice cream and brandy.
I'm pretty sure that Shanghai Salsa will continue to outshine the restaurant space in Gauhati. I was totally impressed with the dessert and red kidney bean soup they served. The recent menu and interior revamp has been a success and I recommend this place for the unique fare it has to offer. Shanghai Salsa is the place for you , if you are looking into something unique, you haven't tasted before. Spend an enchanting evening with your near and dear ones in Shanghai Salsa.
