Chicken with yogurt sauce

This is oil free  baked chicken and it  tastes amazingly great. In India, chicken cooked with yogurt is very popular dish. So, today I'm baking chicken with yogurt sauce but with a little twist, expecting you too will love it.

Cooking, baking or roasting chicken everyday  in a different style is something that I always look for. Its a season of greens and adding some in dishes makes more yummy and healthy. This is a chicken baked in yogurt sauce along with few spring onions for sweet taste. Perfect dish for dinner in winter who avoids carbs.




Ingredients:

1 kg chicken ( assorted pieces with bones)

2 cups yogurt

1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste

1 teaspoon green / red chili paste, ( I have used both for colours)

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Salt

Few spring onions ( cut into long strips)


Method:

Preheat oven at 250 degree C.

In a medium size bowl combine yogurt, ginger garlic paste, chili paste and salt. Now pour this mixture over chicken pieces and mix it well.

Place this chicken in a baking dish and sprinkle black pepper on top. Bake at 250 degree C for 45 to 50 minutes, then take out the tray from oven and place spring onions along with chicken and bake for another 15 minutes at 200 degree C.



Note: Bake spring onions with chicken, when chicken is almost baked, otherwise you'll not get that cruncy and freshly taste of spring onions.
