Fruits and Vegetable Cobbler

Today I'm making a savory cobbler instead of sweet one. Cobbler can be made of any fruit or veggie, fresh or frozen and any combination of both. A comforting vegeterian main dish that uses a lot of  garden produce.  Cobblers, crisps and crumbles are often grouped together into a family of recipes. This looks totally delicious, have a savoury cobbler and now it's high time to change.  Make the most of your rich flavoured fruits and vegetables, and easy to assemble dinner dish.

A fruit and veggie cobbler  is a perfect idea for this time of year, comfy and yet also on the healthy side with all the goodness of fruit and veggies. Aroma of thyme makes this dish irrestible, but it's your choice to add any herbs of your liking.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup carrots, chopped

1/2 cup french beans, chopped

1 green / red  bell pepper, chopped

1/2 cup Apples, chopped

1/2  cup pears, chopped

2 tablespoons butter

1 cup milk

3 tablespoons plain flour

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh thymes

Method:

Preheat oven at 250 degree C.

Mix the flour, salt and butter in a bowl.

Cut the fruits and vegetables in small size, mix it with salt and pepper.

Transfer the mixture into a baking dish, it should fill the dish half way, leaving a good inch for cobbler topping.

Now place this flour mixture on top of fruits and vegetables mixture , do not stir. Add fresh thymes or any other herbs on top for aroma and bake it until golden brown at 180 degree C.

Let the cobbler cool for atleast few minutes before you serve to avoid burning your mouth !!

Enjoy with yogurt or cream.
