Naturally sweet apple slices are rolled up in a perfectly crispy puff pastry and served with cream. This is a visual treat for everyone in party.

INGREDIENTS:

2 Apples

2 tablespoons cinnamom powder

2 tablespoons butter

1 sheet frozen puff pastry.

2 tablespoons castor sugar for extra sweetness.

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 250 degree C.

Core the apple, cut in half and slice thinly.

Place apple slices in baking tray and microwave on high for about 40 seconds or in oven for about 3 minutes and keep aside.

Take a puff pastry sheet ( I used home made ), and cut  into long strips using knife.

Brush each strips of puff pastrt  with apricot jam and sprinkle cinnamom powder.

Place the apple slices in long strips of puff pastry above the  edges and slightly overlapping . Now fold the bottom half of the strips over the apple slices with the rounded edges of the slices exposed.

Starting from the end, roll the strips to form a rose shaped pastry. Brush the apple slices with butter and sprinkle with castor sugar on top.

Place in muffin case and bake in oven for about 30 to 40 minutes  until light brown.

Serve with simple cream or cream custard of caramel cream.
