Soybean Patties

Soybeans are very healthy and a great source of protein. A substitute of meat for vegan. As I have turned into vegeterian for the time being, trying my hands in vegerian recipes which are mouthwatering. 

Soybean patties are made with little potato to balance the taste. Treat your evening tea with this soybean patties and perk up the protein content of your diet. Today, for a change in breakfast menu, made soybean patties and serve with apple salad. 




INGREDIENTS :

 1 cup soybean granules, soak in hot water for 20 minutes.

1 onion, chopped

1 teaspoon chopped ginger

1 Potatoe,  boiled

1 teapoon red chili powder

1 teaspoon garam masala powder

Salt

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

Oil for frying

METHOD :

Soak soy granules in hot water for 20 minutes, drain the water and squeeze out all the water from soy granules.

Grind it coarsely and keep aside.

In a mixing bowl, add boiled potato, ground soy granules, chopped onion and ginger, red chili powder, garam masala powder and salt. Mix it well and make patties out of this mixture. 

In another  plate, place bread crumbs and coat each pattie with bread crumbs on both sides and keep aside. 

Heat oil in a non stick pan and shallow fry  the patties in low heat until golden brown on both sides. 

Enjoy with hot tea or coffee, you can add this in your kid's lunch box too.
