Fish wifh green peas

To make your feast more sumptuous, you don't have to figure out how to cook fish, add this fish coated with a gravy of fresh peas  that is bursting with flavors of  garlic, heat from green chilies is a perfect match for freshly cooked Joha rice or gobindobhog rice and see your guest's response. Fish is cooked, fried, baked, steamed or roasted in charcoal or in oven are common method of cooking.

This is my Aunt's recipe, simple to cook and yummy in taste, flavor of garlic enhances the taste more. I could sing paeans in praise of this dish.




INGREDIENTS :

500 grams fish ( with bone or without )

1 cup fresh peas

7-8 cloves of garlic

2 green chilies

Onion, chopped

Salt to taste

Pinch of turmeric

Oil for cooking

Fresh coriander for garnish.

METHOD :


Wash pieces of fish and rub with salt and turmeric.

In a skillet over medium heat, fry the pieces of fish and keep aside.

Now in a blender, add green peas, garlic and green chilies, blend it until you get smooth paste.

In the same skillet over medium heat, add chopped onion fry for a a minute, add this green peas mixture, stir it continuously. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes in low heat, add salt according to taste. Add 2 cups of water and let it boil.

Add fried fish in this gravy and cook for another 5 minutes.


Serve hot !!
