Eggless Chocolate Crepes

Ever since I made ‘French Crepes’ in breakfast after my marriage , my husband fell in love with this and could not stopped his cravings for this on weekends. These versatile, soft , buttery and maddeningly delectable French street food staple crepes makes you fall in love with once you taste it. Very simple and easier to make than you think. It’s made from ingredients that everyone has on hand. The  best part of it that it can be filled up with any flavourful fillings or dressed up with sweet or savoury toppings . I love to have crepes with fruits, fresh cream and honey. Each crepe is filled with a whole banana which tastes not only delicious , it looks pretty too.

Crepes are perfect as a decadent breakfast or dessert. These luscious eggless chocolate crepes are made with ragi flour ( buckwheat flour ) which are pliable and delicious. Today I opted ragi flour  (Buckwheat flour) instead of plain flour  to make these crepe. As we served this in breakfast so thought of adding fruits along with it . The peanut butter and banana fillings are like match made in heaven.

The main ingredients of making crepes are flour, eggs and milk or water which is ridiculously easy to make which is already uploaded in my blog and it’s a delicious option to eat in breakfast.

Ingredients : (For 6 medium size crepes)

1 cup Ragi flour ( Buckwheat flour)
3 tablespoons arrowroot powder / cornflour
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
Pinch of salt
1 1/2 cup milk
3 tablespoons sugar (optional)

For filling :

Few  whole bananas
4-5 tablespoons peanut butter

Method:

In a large bowl , mix all ingredients for the crepes. Take a whisk and mix it well that there should not be any lump.

Heat a nonstick pan over medium heat, add oil.

Pour two laddles of batter into the pan, swirl the batter around to coat the pan evenly. Cover it and cook for about 2-3 minutes on low flame. or until you can easily lift a side of the crepe.

Flip the crepe and cook for another few minute.

The batter will get thicker after a while. just add little more milk into it.After finish making crepes let it cool aside,

Now place each chocolate crepe on plate, spread peanut butter first than place a banana. Roll it up.

Cut each banana filled chocolate crepes into two parts and pour ready made chocolate syrup on top for chocolate lovers.

Enjoy !!
